Electrical discharge machining, also known as EDM, is a process that uses sparks to cut shapes out of a workpiece. ISO 9001:2015 certified precision wire EDM services. Equipment includes 10 wire EDM machining centers housed in a seperate work area. Materials handled include steel, tool steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, titanium, tungsten, molybdenum, nickel, carbide, Inconel®, Hastelloy® and Monel®. Machining can be done on parts as small as 0.015 in. and in lengths up to 20 in., widths up to 14 in. and heights up to 12 in. in tolerances of +/- 0.0001 in. Capabilities include prototyping, short run production, inspection and testing. Industries served include aerospace, defense, automotive, medical and technology. One day to one week lead time available. Rush services are offered. Meets ASTM and AISI standards. ITAR registered. With more than 10 years’ experience in the industry, PTJ Shop partners is your number one source for EDM hole drilling. We utilize state-of-the-art, CNC-operated EDM machinery to drill blind- or through-holes as small as 0.005” in diameter in materials as thick as 11.61”. These holes can be part of your product design or used as pilot holes for additional wire EDM processing.
