Still widely used in the medical field is the Ti-6Al-4v ELI alloy. However, the latter will precipitate a very small amount of vanadium and aluminum ions, which reduces the adaptability of cells and may cause harm to the human body. This problem has already attracted widespread attention in the medical community. Ti 6Al-4V has a machining cost factor of 6.0 when compared to steel 12L14. It produces a fair weld and forges roughly. Ti 6Al-4V can also be annealed, heat treated, and aged. |
