PTJ Shop has a reputation for machining quality parts from Carp 49. We can machine intricate parts on our CNC Swiss machines and CNC turning centers. Carp 49 are a class of alloys with high magnetic permeability and nickel content of 30% to 90%. A heat-treated Carpenter 49 is a key process for achieving excellent performance. It controls the heating temperature, holding time, cooling rate and cooling mode to change the internal structure and magnetic structure of the alloy in a certain heating medium to obtain the desired magnetic properties. The heat treatment of the Carpenter 49 includes high temperature annealing and magnetic field heat treatment. Carp 49 has a machining cost factor of 6.0 when compared to steel 12L14. It can be easily welded, brazed, and soldered, as well as hot and cold worked. Carp 49 cannot be hardened by heat treatment, but can be annealed. |
